The international football Federation in 2017 will determine the best player of the season.
In September 2016 FIFA failed to extend its cooperation with the “France Football”, which from 1956 to the end of the calendar year determines the winner of the “Golden ball”.
The governing body of world football had to find an alternative to the “Golden ball”. This alternative will be the award “The Best FIFA”.
Board FIFA at the Congress in Bahrain decided that the prize will be awarded not on the basis of the calendar year and at the end of a particular season.
For the first time in the new format the winner of the award “The Best of FIFA” will be determined on 23 October 2017. On this day in London will host the awarding ceremony.
Now we know the main favorites for the status of “The Best” by FIFA. It is expected that the award will go to the forward “real” Cristiano Ronaldo and goalkeeper of Juventus Gianluigi Buffon, and the defining moment will be the Champions League final.
Recall that Ronaldo is the current holder of the award to the player of the year by FIFA. Also the Portuguese were the last taken from the “France Football” Golden ball.
