Fiat Chrysler Automobiles announced the recall of more than 494 thousand pickups and trucks worldwide because of a problem in the water pump that could potentially cause a fire.

The company said there were no reports of injuries or accidents related to this problem, which affects pick-up Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 from 2013 to 2017, as well as trucks without body models 3500, 4500 and 5500. In a press release, Fiat Chrysler stated that this review is limited to models with 6.7-liter engines, and also noted that she no longer equips the vehicle this water pump.

“Because of customer complaints an investigation was launched by the FCA in the United States, which showed that some trucks water pump can under certain conditions overheat and potentially cause fire in the engine compartment, — reported in a press release. — Problems with the water pump can lead to activation of the signal lamp on the front panel.
