Ferrari company has brought to Frankfurt motor show its new “Junior” supercar, dubbed the Portofino after an Italian village. The novelty is designed to replace in the lineup the automaker’s California T model, got a lightweight chassis, more powerful engine and sophisticated aerodynamics.
Ferrari Portofino equipped with a modified 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 unit with new pistons and rods, as well as with recalibrated electronic control unit. The engine produces 600 HP and 800 Nm of torque — 40 more than its predecessor.
The Roadster is able to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and its top speed reaches 320 km per hour.
Supercar got upgraded exhaust system, branded rear differential E-Diff third generation and the traction control F1-Trac, which help the driver to control the slide.
Plus, the Roadster became the first ever representative of the range GT, which used electronic power steering. With the new system the gear ratio of the steering mechanism decreased by 7%.
