“Every adult wants to touch the child. Once you’ve seen the art dolls, I fell in love with them at first sight. And trying to make them myself, carried away so that frivolous hobby quietly becoming a serious business, became my new profession”, – says Ukrainian artist-puppeteer Tamara pivnuk that creating dolls came in adulthood. Part of it is luxury works are in private collections, and the other, waiting for a buyer, continues to delight his Creator of striking images, each of which is a fascinating story.
According to Tamara, her first doll she did once accidentally hit the doll exhibition in Kiev, gallery “Parsuna”. And since then, this little hobby has become an integral part of her life. “The process of creating a doll at the same time simple and complex, with its own characteristics. On the one hand a fairly basic artistic skills, and with another – just need to have a great desire of creativity, patience and hard work. I can use everything from architectural education to my grandmother’s lessons in crochet,” says Tamara about their working moments.
To create dolls Tamara uses natural materials: wool, textiles, leather, wood. And for costumes and accessories uses embroidery, lace, painting, applique, buttons and other decorative things handmade. And it is not surprising that her little masterpieces can be admired endlessly, looking at all the details from pronounced eye, cute shoes, purses, hats, stockings and dresses. After all, every way not just careful attention to detail and made with incredible love and soul.
