Flying through the flowerbed, the driver crashed into a car fire.
The famous racing driver Tom Coronel became a party to the unpleasant episode during the first workout of world Cup highway-ring racing in cars in Vila real (Portugal).
Pilot ROAL Motorsport left the road, plowed the lawn and hooked the fire car which was parked nearby.
As a result of 45-year-old Coronel was injured, can not be said about his vehicle.
“I am glad that there was a fire truck, not blocks of concrete. All security features work, and the FIA investigation has shown that overload is reached 25g. The seat belts broke in half, just like the HANS system . Motor broke from mounts, whole front suspension was broken, body damage is very serious. The car was like a banana,” explained Tom in an interview with Motorsport.
