Social network Facebook was first exhibited fine in the amount of 660 thousand dollars because of the cooperation with Cambridge Analytica after which there was a leak of user data.
According to the publication, the Office of the Commissioner for information in the UK came to the conclusion that the actions of Facebook have violated the data protection Act 1998.
Recall that around the social network Facebook sparked the most ambitious in the history of the scandal. Using the application This is Your digital life, created by a Cambridge University Professor of Russian origin, Alexander Kogan, has collected the personal information of 87 million users. In violation of the rules of Facebook, the data was transferred to a third party – Cambridge Analytica, founded by billionaire Robert Mercer.
