Donald trump in a recent interview spoke about the policies of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. US President in interview to TV channel Fox News said that Putin is “hard biscuit” (eng. tough cookie, an analogue of our “die hard”).
“I don’t know what he’s doing for Russia, but at some point we’ll find out,” said trump.
In the Russian segment of Twitter ridiculed the new nickname of Putin. Someone compared it to die hard-Willis, and someone joked about the literal translation of the phrase “Tough cookie”.
“Tough cookie – overdue gingerbread. 17 years old still,” wrote Robot of Roskomnadzor. “”tough cookie” that is more an old hand than a tough nut to crack. Not?”, commented by famous artist Sergey Elkin.
The Russian media prefer to remain silent about the “cookie” and eat far more flattering compared to the “hard nut”.
