Rich people have decided that space is a great place for introducing the business.
Private space companies are experiencing a boom of popularity. In 2011 the volume of investments into the enterprise space increased from $409 million to $3.1 billion.
The publication studied the list of billionaires Bloomberg Billionaires Index, and found that of the 500 richest people on the planet at least 16 years invested in the space industry. Among them are the founders of American it corporations bill gates, mark Zuckerberg and Larry page, and others, and Asian billionaire Li Kashin and MA Huatan, and Russian entrepreneur Yuri Milner.
Bloomberg found out which companies have invested billionaires. So, bill gates is betting on the developer of satellite communication systems, Kymeta, and Zuckerberg gives money to the SETI project, which deals with the search for extraterrestrial civilizations.
