The national team of Ukraine on basketball suffered their third defeat in a final stage of the European championship.
If in previous matches at the tournament Ukraine is powerfully spent the first quarter in the match against Lithuanian team Evgeny Murzin immediately began to fall behind in the score. Lithuania has completed the opening 10-minute period with a breakthrough 16:2 and went into the first break with a 17-point advantage.
During the second quarter of the effort Artem Pustovaya, Ukraine has managed to reduce the gap to five points, but the ending segment was marred by a missed jerk 0:6. The big break Lithuania went with a solid advantage – 44:30.
In the third quarter Lithuania finally solved all the issues – the gap in the bill rapidly passed 20 points and continued to grow. The final advantage of the Lithuanians totaled 32 points.
The only bright spot for the Ukrainian team in the match with Lithuania became the center of the “Obradoiro” Artem Pustovoy, on account of which a record in the shirt of the national team with 29 points.
Despite three defeats in four games, the Ukrainian team has chances to qualify for the knockout stages of Eurobasket 2017. Tomorrow we must win Israel.
