EU ambassadors agreed on the extension of individual sanctions against Russia

BRUSSELS, 4 March. /TASS/. The permanent representatives of 27 countries – EU members agreed on a prolongation of six months of individual sanctions against Russian citizens, the validity of which expires on 15 March. This was reported by TASS on Wednesday, a source in the EU Council.

“At the morning meeting of ambassadors without discussion extended individual sanctions against individuals and legal entities of Russia for another six months. Now the decision must be formally approved by the Council of the EU,” he said.

As expected, the EU Council also will adopt without discussion the decision on 12 March, after which it will be published in the Official journal of the European Union and will enter into force.
