Estonian Ambassador to Ukraine Gert the ants said that the principles that are considered fair for the countries-EU members, must work for Ukraine. About this Gert the ants said during consultations with the Minister of education and science, Liliya Hrynevych linguistic norms of the new law “On education”.
“Europe can’t dominate double standards – those principles that are considered fair for the countries-EU members, must work for Ukraine”, – said the Ambassador of Estonia in Ukraine.
According to the press service of the Ministry of education and science, Estonian Ambassador stressed the importance of continued dialogue with representatives of member countries of the European Union.
He also proposed to enlist the support of as many countries that also are countries of origin of certain minorities on the territory of Ukraine.
In particular the ants said that this support can provide Bulgaria or Poland, minorities who also live and study on the territory of Ukraine.
In turn, the Ministry of education intends to continue consultations with Estonia on possible communication language norms of the law on education at EU level, as at present, Estonia is chairing the Council of the EU.
