“Mail of Russia” revealed in Moscow a gang of Internet fraudsters who sent bricks buyers and glasses instead of computers and smartphones.
The damage from the actions of these scams since the beginning of the year exceeded 6 million roubles.
So, participants of a sustainable criminal group has cheated thousands of Russians at tens of millions of rubles.
Scammers regularly opened in the online shops offering the purchasers of the computers, mobile phones and various office equipment at competitive prices. These sites usually exist no more than one month.
During this time, the crooks managed to gain orders for several million rubles. However, in post offices customers receive the bricks, water bottles and glasses, depending on weight of ordered goods.
After inspection it was found that the attackers did send out Moscow post offices. Only in January 2017, they received from citizens as a post-pay more than 6 million rubles.
Personal data of the senders that regularly received cash on delivery for packages, according to the court was transferred to law enforcement authorities for further action.
