The rock began to collapse 10 years ago.
Odessans are sounding the alarm because of the destruction of the slope on the 16-th station of Big Fountain, trailing landslides. So, the citizen Denis Chatila published in social networks photo and video, which illustrate the deep fissures in the rock and then gradually part of the array slides to the sea.
“I don’t even know what to call what I saw. Stones fall every day on the road. Downstairs has built two cafes,” he signed his pictures, Shatila, adding the words of local residents that only last week the rock sagged noticeably, there are new cracks. But, judging by the rags in the photo, it does not prevent people without a roof over your head to make it a flophouse.
However, locals say that the first destruction here was fixed long ago. “The slope began to go down over 10 years ago and nobody paid attention to it. In the summer the bottom of the damaged section and make a barbecue set camping,” complained a user Yuri Kohno.
Note that the portions of the slopes also often breaks loose in the Black sea and resorts near Odessa. The most recent large-scale landslide destroyed a road in the village Fontanka.
