Easter-2017: where in Kiev will worship

Where in Kiev will be Church services.

Sunday, April 16, all Orthodox will celebrate the bright feast of the Resurrection of Christ.

Reporters learned, when and where in Kiev you can go to Church services, to consecrate an Easter basket and pray.

Worship will be held in the night from Saturday to Sunday.

Kiev-Pechersk Lavra

April 30, Holy Saturday, at 8 a.m. traditionally held the Liturgy in Holy cross and the refectory Church on the territory of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

And from 12.00 to 22.00 you can enjoy the area of Near caves, where the consecration of Easter food, and at 19.00 at the Cathedral square will host a meeting of the Holy fire.

At 23.30 all gather for the Easter service at the Central square.

St. Vladimir’s Cathedral

Here Easter vigil of Holy Saturday will serve the Patriarch. The worship will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday. Easter service at the Cathedral will start at 22:00.

The Church of the Holy apostles Peter and Paul

At 8 a.m. on Holy Saturday will begin the Liturgy of St. Basil the Great, from 12.00 to 23.00 – sanctification of Easter. The service will start at 23.30 (procession, Paschal Matins, and divine Liturgy.).

The consecration of Easter cakes will last from 4.30 am to 11.00 am Sunday. And at 8 am Sunday will be Easter Liturgy for children.

Easter service begins at midnight of Holy Saturday.

Transfiguration Church

The beginning of the Easter service in Holy Saturday will be at 23.30, and Easter will be Holy to 12 a.m. Sunday.

St. Michael’s vydubytskyi monastery

Easter service will begin on Saturday at 23.00, midnight will be held Easter morning service. Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom and the blessing of the kulich will be held from o’clock in the morning.

Easter service will start at 23:00 Saturday till 5:00 Sunday, Easter and Easter cakes will sanctify two days – Saturday 16:00 to 22:00 and on Sunday from 4:00 until the beginning of the morning service.
