During the pandemic, the proportion of Russians with incomes below 15 thousand rubles increased to 45%

According to the results of a survey conducted by SK “Rosgosstrakh-life” and the scientific and technical center “Perspektiva”, during the pandemic coronavirus, the proportion of Russians with average income below 15 thousand rubles increased from 38,1% to 44.6%. About it writes RBC.

It is clarified that the survey was attended by 1.5 thousand Russian citizens over 18 years old.

The share of citizens who earn in a month above 15 thousand roubles, has decreased from 61.8% in February to 55.3% in June, while the proportion of respondents with an income higher than 25 thousand rubles – from 36.2% to 27.1%.

The majority of Russians (36,5%) said that they live on the income from 5 to 15 thousand rubles a month. Income is less than 5 thousand rubles a month are 8,1% of the respondents.

And half (50.3 per cent) of respondents admitted that their income has not changed since the beginning of the pandemic.

Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov has expressed doubts about the correctness of the survey, according to which almost half of Russians forced to live on less than 15 thousand rubles a month. According to Peskov, the sample for the study do not allow valid conclusions at the Federal level.
