The Mexican government plans to use dolphins, trained naval forces of the United States, to preserve the nature of one of the most threatened species of aquatic mammals – California sea pigs (wakit).
The Minister of the environment Rafael Pacchiano said that the dolphins will be looking for Vakit and drive them into the waters of the aquatic reserves.
Scientists estimate that in their natural habitat, the Northern part of the Gulf of California, living less than 40 species of porpoises.

“We’ve spent the last six months in close cooperation with the US Navy teaching dolphins to find the missing divers,” said he in an interview with radio Formula.
