Frozen fruits and vegetables was healthier than the fruit lying in the fridge for a few days. This was stated by scientists from the University of Georgia in the United States.
Experts conducted a study of the content of the most beneficial elements contained in fruits and vegetables – vitamins A and C and folic acid (vitamin B9). It turned out that strawberries, blueberries, corn, broccoli, cauliflower, green peas, beans and spinach lose most of the vitamins for a few days in the fridge. In this case, the frozen fruit is much healthier.
The only option in which fresh fruits and vegetables are healthier than frozen, is the use of really fresh ingredients. In this regard, scientists advise to pay close attention to the production date when buying such products.
