This spice also improves learning ability.
Cinnamon counteracts the negative effects of a diet high in fat.
This is evidenced by the results of studies presented at the conference of the American heart Association for heart disease.
Scientists conducted a study on rats. Experimental animals for 12 weeks ate greasy foods. Some rodents were given supplements with cinnamon, but the others don’t. The study revealed, chikorita slowed down the process of fat accumulation and reduced the risk of heart disease.
Rats who consumed supplements with cinnamon, weighed less and had less belly fat. In addition, the sugar levels, insulin and fats in their blood were lower than those who had not received supplementation with cinnamon. Also in the body of these animals was more antioxidants and anti-inflammatory molecules.
According to previous studies, cinnamon improves learning ability. Still it protects the brain from dementia and Parkinson’s disease. In addition, researchers from the University of Arizona found that cinnamic aldehyde (the compound that gives cinnamon a peculiar odor and taste) can cope with colorectal cancer.
