Today died one of the founders of the famous Australian band AC/DC Malcolm young. This was announced on the group page in Facebook. He died at home surrounded by family.

Malcolm young is known not only from the music group AC/DC. At the beginning of his career, the guy debuted in the group “The Velvet Underground” and “Marcus Hook Roll Band”, and later, in 1973, he along with his brother Angus decided to create the legendary rock band AC/DC.

Their first national tour took place in 1974 with singer Dave Evans, who, however, in the same year, was replaced by Bon Scott. In 1976 Australian band AC/DC moved to Britain, and then also records the beginning of an active international tour.

The band had a lot of UPS and downs, particularly in the 1980’s killed Bon Scott, who was later replaced by Brian Johnson. In 1988, Malcolm young missed the next round due to issues with alcohol — it was replaced by nephew Stevie, who through a similar appearance is often confused with the musician.

At an early stage of his career Malcolm married Linda, and they have a daughter Kara and son Ross. In April 2014, Malcolm due to health problems cease participation in the group. It again was replaced by nephew Stevie young.

In September 2014, the family of Malcolm young confirms he is suffering from dementia — a brain disease that causes impaired memory and mental function. In the same year, the group said that young will not return to the group.
