Jean Rochefort died on 88-m to year of life.
Legendary French actor Jean Rochefort, who played a key role in one of the most unfortunate sagas in Hollywood history, died on Sunday night in one of the Parisian clinics, which came at the end of the summer. About it journalists were reported by the actor’s daughter Clemence. The actor was 87 years old.
Rochefort was a national treasure of France, he played in more than 150 films, one of them was the painting “the Man who killed don Quixote”. Shooting of this project became the longest in the career of the actor and in the history of Hollywood since they began in 2000.
More than half a century, Jean Rochefort was a French film industry, appearing in sitcoms and in popular blockbusters and art films. He officially retired in 2015 after the filming of the movie “Florida”.
In addition to acting, Rochefort was fond of horse riding. His passion for horses has contributed to the appearance of his farm in West Paris.
One day the President of France invited him to dine with Queen Elizabeth II, in which Rochefort had agreed, thinking that he will be one of hundreds of guests. As it turned out, lunch was only invited eight guests, including former Secretary of state Henry Kissinger. And although the actor was taken aback when sat in front of the Queen, he found a common topic of conversation, a Frenchman started talking about horses.
