Died a famous Ukrainian writer

The writer died in Volhynia.

On Thursday, 7 December 2017 at the age of 71 years in Volhynia died a famous Ukrainian writer and journalist Ivan Korsak.

This was written by the journalist Olga Lesnik on his page in Facebook.

“A huge loss for the Volyn regional organization, the National Union of writers “of Ukraine for Volyn, Ukraine. Died Ivan Korsak. Eternal memory. And not enough words, and sadness, and sorrow, and…” she said.

Korsak was born 15 September 1946 in the village. Zabolottya Ratestogo district of Volyn region. He received the agronomy and journalism education. Edited the newspaper “Soviet Polesie” in the city of Kamen-Kashirskiy (1975-1990 years), “people’s tribune” in the city of Lutsk (1990-1995 year), was the chief editor of the newspaper “Family and Home” (1996-2014).

In 2011-2014 he was a member of the Council of the National Union of writers of Ukraine, member of the editorial Board of the newspaper “Literary Ukraine”.

Works Korsak translated into Lithuanian, Polish, English, Belarusian, Russian and Turkish. In addition, he was a laureate of numerous literary prizes and had the title of honored journalist of Ukraine.
