English Illustrator William Henry Marginson (William Henry Margetson) more was known to the public as a writer of romantic portraits. His beautiful women depicted in the paintings in fashionable dresses and hats, elegant interiors and luxurious gardens, was popular and in great demand. And no wonder, because each of them not just the personification of beauty and tenderness, and the reflection of an era, romantic, sentimental, and incredibly beautiful.
Henry was born in 1861 in London. He studied painting at the College of Dulwich, and then trained at the Royal Academy of art, where later he held his first exhibition. Later his works were exhibited at exhibitions at the Royal society of British artists and various galleries.

The most famous work of the artist began painting “the Pearls born of the sea”, written in 1897, which was exhibited at the Royal Academy, and now she is in the Art gallery of New South Wales.
He created many watercolors and works, painted in oil on a variety of topics, including religious, mythological and allegorical. But only portraits brought him vast popularity.
