Mercedes-Benz continues road tests of the production version of the sedan based on a coupe GT. Photospies the first time managed to photograph the interior of the vehicle on the tests. Images of car was published by Motor1. The car will be released under the brand Mercedes-AMG, its premiere will be held in 2018.
Judging by the spy photos, the novelty will receive two large touch screen, and also dashboard-style E-Class. Also, the car will feature an upgraded entertainment system.
With regard to the design of the sedan, it follows the prototype presented in Geneva in March of this year, and reminiscent of the Mercedes-AMG GT3. The car will be built on the MRA platform. This same chassis currently used C63, E63 and the S63 AMG. For weight loss parts of the sedan are made of aluminium and high strength steel.
Technical characteristics of the model are still kept secret. According to unofficial data, the sedan will get a 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine. The power of the motor will make around 600 horsepower.
Also not ruled out a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 4.0-liter liter gasoline V8 engine and electric motor. The total capacity of the machine will exceed 800 horsepower. To 100 km/h sedan can accelerate in 3 seconds. The car will have automatic transmission Speedshift MCT and retuned suspension. In the lineup of this model will take the place of the CLS Shooting Brake. The main competitors of the car will be the Audi A7, BMW 6-Series GranCoupe and Porsche Panamera.
