The head coach of the national team of Ukraine on basketball Evgeny Murzin announced the names of players who expect to get into the final squad for the European championship.
In a preliminary team consisting of 25 players, including two representatives of the country in the NBA – center “Phoenix” Alexei Lana and forward “Utah” Joel Bolomba. The place of foreigners is American Eugene Jeter, who refused to play for the national team of Ukraine after the resignation of the head coach American specialist Mike Fratello.

Preparations for the European championship the national team of Ukraine will begin on 15 July in Kiev. From 28 to 30 July, “blue-yellow” will play a friendly tournament in Italy, and from 5 to 7 August will perform in Greece. In addition, the team is planning a series of friendlies against Slovenia, Croatia and Turkey.
Eurobasket 2017 will be held from 31 August to 17 September in Israel, Romania, Turkey and Finland. Ukraine in the group stage in tel Aviv to face Israel, Lithuania, Georgia, Italy and Germany.
