A few days ago, “scream Queen” Danielle Harrisstarring in several parts of the franchise “Halloween”, posted a picture of her with Tyler Mane and Scout Compton (Michael Myers and Laurie Strode from the remake) show in the camera middle fingers. Everyone understood that the way Danielle and the company Express their General opinion about the new film of the series, known for the time being called “Halloween is coming back.”
But what could be caused by displeasure of the girl? Yes, it was not invited to this movie, but the new “Halloween” will be released with the blessing of the John carpenter, a native of the “father” of the franchise, which also promises to write the music for the film. As for the Harris, she starred in the fourth and fifth parts, and also appeared in the remake (and its sequel), but… it’s not the original, right? And not even a direct sequel, it’s the fourth and fifth movies in the series, a remake and a sequel of a remake. It would seem, than Harris can’t be happy?..
In the films of Rob Zombie Harris spoke on the rights sort of “wedding General” (and in the sequel, her character was killed), but in “Halloween 4-5” it was the role of Jamie Lloyd, daughter of Laurie Strode, the heroine of the first “Halloween”. The role of Laurie glorified at the time, actress Jamie Lee Curtis, she will return in the new film.
In live video chat on Facebook Harris finally expressed what she thinks about it:
I was pissed. And here’s why. I starred in four films in the series “Halloween”, and I’m glad. I wouldn’t have all of you guys [the fans]… if not “Halloween”. I will always be grateful and appreciative for Halloween. This series has been useful to me.
What worries me about this… [Laurie Strode] had a daughter. I wouldn’t be outraged if she had a son… but they say that in this new film she will have a daughter. And it’s not Jamie [Lloyd, the heroine of Harris]. Looks like it’s just a bummer. I think someone said that the film will not hurt if Jamie is reunited with his mother. But this did not happen. We called, thinking that would be cool even if it’s just a small flashback… but they are not interested. So. I tried.
…But this does not mean that you will not see me in many other horror movies!
A few confused happened with Daniel – feels that she is overwhelmed with emotions. But if I understand correctly, in the new “Halloween” Laurie Stoud may be already a grown-up daughter, but she will not call Jamie Lloyd and, of course, will play her (if they play) another actress.
