Dangerous virus attacked hundreds of apps in Google Play

Russian developer of antivirus software Dr. Web alerts infected by a new malicious Trojan BankBot several hundred applications in the store mobile, Google Play.

This is stated in a statement posted on the web portal of the company.

According to specialists, the malware is usually disguised as a harmless free app, such as Adobe Flash Player. Immediately after installing and running Trojan trying to access the accessibility service. To do this, the virus displays a window with the request that appears each time you try to close it and not allow you to use the device.

After installation, the virus collects information about all running applications and actions executed by the user. In particular, the Trojan monitors the available text field and pressing keys of your device. In addition, the BankBot is able to steal credentials and other information that users type in any program, on any web sites during authorization.

It is noted that at the time of detection, the program attacked only in Turkey, but soon expanded its geography, and now the virus is threatening users in dozens of countries. Currently, the virus has already infected about 400 apps in the Google Play store.
