Crimea switched to Russian traffic

All providers have started to gain traffic through Russia.

The authorities of the occupied Crimea have decided to abandon the Ukrainian Internet traffic. This was stated by the so-called Minister of internal policy, information and communications of the Republic Vice-Premier Dmitry Polonsky.

We will remind, on Wednesday, users of social networks and media, using the services of the Crimean company “Telecommunication systems” (TKS), reported the lack of access to Russian resources “Yandex” and Мail.ru and the social network “Vkontakte”. Later access to Russian resources.

According to Polonsky, the resource locking was purely technical point related to the fact that some Crimean providers used the Ukrainian Internet traffic.

“Now they have switched to the Russian network, so this question is removed. It was a purely technical story. Providers switched to Russian traffic, and the problem appeared”, – said Polonsky.
