In Belarus court sentenced a Russian priest Nikolai Kireev, finding him guilty of pimping.
On 14 November, the Zheleznodorozhny district court of Vitebsk Kireyev sentenced to 5.5 years of imprisonment in colony with a reinforced regime with confiscation of property.
He 39-year-old priest pleaded not guilty and promised to appeal the verdict.
The investigation said that the audience for several months corresponded on the Internet with several women from Belarus, inviting them to engage in prostitution in St. Petersburg.
When they agreed, the priest came out for them in Vitebsk, to deliver to Russia. Then he was detained.
Nikolai Kireyev served in the temple of Peter and Paul in Vyborg diocese of the ROC. The Abbot of the temple told me that Kireev went on vacation and his wife said that he was going to resurrection new Jerusalem monastery in Moscow suburbs.
