Coal prices in Ukraine may rise

Became known a few might appreciate coal.

The Ministry of energy and coal industry of Ukraine recommend to raise the price of coal from state mines to power generating companies and power plants to 5%.

Therefore, DOE proposes to increase the price of coal from state mines to power generating companies and CHP from 2000 to 2200 UAH per ton (excluding VAT and transportation costs).

This was decided at a meeting on the issue of determining the maximum prices of coal products, led by Minister Igor Nasalik.

As explained by one of the participants, the decision to raise prices was taken to bring the enterprise to a breakeven level of operation, to provide coal generation.

According to the source, the Minister has indicated a significant increase in the price of thermal coal in April-August this year.
