The coach of Athletic Bilbao Ernesto Valverde is considered the main contender for the post of chief coach of “Barcelona”.
As you know, the current coach of the Catalan club, Luis Enrique after the recent match of the championship of Spain with “sporting” announced that he will leave his post at the end of the current season. Now the leadership of “Barcelona” is looking for a replacement for 46-year-old specialist.
Authoritative Spanish newspaper “Marca” recalls that Valverde a few years ago have already applied for the post of chief coach of “Barcelona”. Former player of “blaugranas” knows the club from the inside, and perfectly aware of everything that happens in Spanish football.
Valverde expects offers from “Barcelona” and therefore in no hurry to sign with athletic a new contract. The current agreement 53-year-old coach with the club from Bilbao expires this summer.
