Clinton did not rule out challenging the legitimacy of the election of the President of the United States

Ex-rival trump’s not sure there is a “legitimate constitutional way” to challenge the election results.

Candidate for the US presidency from the Democratic party, Hillary Clinton does not rule out appealing against the legitimacy of the elections in 2016, if there will be new evidence of Russian interference.

This was reported in the transcript of her interview on the website of National Public Radio.

“Hillary Clinton says she does not rule out challenging the legitimacy of the presidential elections in 2016, if there was any new information about what the Russians intervened (elections – ed.) is even stronger than is known at this time”, – stated in the message.

However, according to her, she’s not sure there is a “legitimate constitutional way” to do this.

Clinton said that trump’s behavior during the election campaign and as President is predetermined by the fact that he’s been seeking out those responsible. Former U.S. Secretary of state believes that during the election campaign, trump turned to Russia for support.

“There are examples during the campaign, when that’s what he did – publicly urged Russia to hack into my email,” said Clinton.

She also said in an interview that she knew about the Russian involvement in the presidential campaign in spring of 2016.
