Citroen has returned to the world rally championship (WRC) this year. The French team is there on the Citroen C3 WRC, created specially for this rally series. A few months ago there were rumors that the French want to release a road version of this race car. Then Linda Jackson said she would like to see a model.
For a long time about this project nothing was known. It seemed that the French forgot about it, because they’re now working on several new products. However, in fact, Citroen is continuing to work on “charged” C3.
In fact, the production of “charged” Citroen C3 on the basis of a racing car WRC is contrary to the positioning of this French car brand. Jackson understands this, but it takes into account that WRC rally series is very popular among car enthusiasts (the popularity it is, however, inferior to the “Formula 1”). This should have a positive impact on the sales of the new high-performance hatchback, the company Citroen.
“A car like no one else did. It will be special. Don’t expect a “soft” option. This model we make on the basis of a racing car, and it will retain many of the characteristics of a rally,” said Jackson.
