China has significantly increased military spending

The budget of China to 2017 provides increase defense spending by 7% compared with the year 2016.

In 2016, China’s military expenditure amounted to $146 billion, reported the press-Secretary of session of vsekitajsky meeting of national representatives (vsnp) Fu Ying.

“Every year our military budget is drawn up in accordance with the economic development of the country and our needs. This year’s military budget will increase by approximately 7% and amount to 1.3% of GDP”, – said the representative of the NPC.

Note that in 2016, China’s military expenditure grew by 7.6% to $146 billion.

Session of the NPC – the highest organ of state power of China – opens on Sunday, March 5.

As reported Корреспондент.net earlier the President of the United States Donald trump has proposed to increase defense spending in 2018 54 billion, i.e. 9% compared with the 2017 year.

Recall that Germany will increase defense spending in 2017, by 2 billion euros to 37 billion euros, accounting for 1.2% of GDP.

Japan and South Korea will spend record amount on defense.
