Found rock paintings of the planets by the age of 2 thousand years
On the territory of the Autonomous region of Inner Mongolia, located in Northern China, archaeologists have discovered ancient rock drawings of the planets. Their age is estimated in 2 thousand years.
Scientists have found drawings on the territory of the mountains Insane, which is located near the city of Hohhot. Earlier researchers have found ancient rock paintings. After a long search, the archaeologists drew attention to the large array on the surface of the solid rocks which could be seen five holes. Their diameter is 6-10 cm, and depth each took approximately 2-7 see
During the study experts found that those holes in the stone hollowed. The researchers conducted a detailed analysis and found out that it is astronomical markers that represent the five planets of the Solar system: Mars, Venus, mercury, Saturn and Jupiter. Experts have found that, with respect to each other, they retain precise proportions and are actually miniature model of the heavenly bodies.
Scientists have not yet named the exact purpose of these figures, but suggested that they were used during religious rituals.
