China started the construction of a modern Expressway Yibin to Panzhihua.
Reportedly, the investment in construction will amount to 88.6 billion yuan (13.4 billion dollars).
As a result, the freeway will be the most expensive of all the similar transport projects ever implemented in the country. It is known that the road will pass through mountainous terrain in the southwestern Sichuan province. Its length will exceed 450 km.
The cost of one kilometer of road will be 200 million yuan (30 million dollars).
