Sweet soft drinks are increasingly serious criticism of the medical profession.
Monitor 40000 men has allowed scientists at Harvard University concluded that daily consumption of sugary drinks increases the risk of heart attack — including fatalities — 20 percent.
A blood test showed that men who often drink sweet drinks, tend to have higher levels of dangerous blood fats and proteins associated with heart disease.
The study also found that the more sugary drinks people consume, the greater the risk.
The study was conducted over 12 years, from 1986 to 2008, during which men were annually provided detailed information about their diet.
After analyzing the information about the diet and health of these people, the researchers came to the conclusion that men who eat 350g or more sugary drinks a day, the risk of heart attack above 20 percent.
