The Cabinet will pay for gas for the population.
The court ordered the Cabinet to compensate for Naftogaz’s losses from gas supplies to the population.
Thus, the court satisfied the claim of Naftogaz of Ukraine to the Cabinet of Ministers and ordered the government to define the order in which definitions and sources of compensation that needs to Naftogaz, performing imposed on him by the government special obligations on gas supplies for the needs of the population.
This is stated in the decision of the District administrative court of Kiev dated 19 July 2017.
“To oblige the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to perform p. 7 h. 4 s. 11 of the law of Ukraine On the natural gas market, namely to identify the sources of funding and the procedure for determining the compensation provided to actors of the natural gas market, which imposed special obligations, by making amendments to resolution of CMU dated 22.03.2017, No. 187 (decision to impose specializationlist), providing in this resolution the sources of financing and procedure for determining compensation”, – stated in the decision of the District administrative court of Kiev dated 19 July 2017.
We will remind that the Cabinet of Ministers from may 1, 2016, has established a single price for gas for the population-level 6879 UAH per thousand cubic meters (4942 UAH per thousand cubic meters, excluding transport and VAT). This is the price of regional supply companies (regional gas companies-sales) sell gas to domestic users. The validity of this price was fixed until 1 April 2017.
After this, the Cabinet extended the validity of spacebattles to Naftogaz for the sale of gas through a gas-sales and for the period until 1 October 2017 has set the price of gas for the population at the level of 4849 UAH per thousand cubic meters (excluding VAT and charges for delivery of fuel).
In mid-July, the head of Board of Naftogaz Andrey Kobelev said that gas-sales owes Naftogaz received on specialattention gas 30 billion.
