The Dolce&Gabbana show spring-summer 2018
Italian brand Dolce&Gabbana has introduced the Royal collection at the fashion week in Milan.
If we were asked to describe how looked the new collection spring-summer 2018 from the famous Maestro, we would say only the following: the celebration of the Golden age! Crowns, massive gold jewelry and the red carpet is the fashion House knows how to leave the right first impression.
Main brand designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are considered the kings of prints, so all we were waiting for the appearance of new motifs on the catwalk. And for good reason! The variety is staggering: green peas, playing cards, spring flowers, Brussels sprouts, African Zebra, the inhabitants of coral reefs and a Ouija-themed Tarot.
For lovers of monochrome images of black, corsets lace, transparent dresses with combinations and mesh. No evening gowns is a part of the collection of this fashion house, but that’s Brussels sprouts and green peas – a bit dodgy prints for a boho outfit, or tsilka to the fairy tale “the Princess and the pea”?
The accessories collection is no less peculiar: wreaths of flowers, cabbage leaves on the head and beautiful tiaras. Interestingly, while the crown is such an opaque allusion to the primacy in Italian fashion? It seems that Milan goes to war for bright things and yells: down with minimalism!
