Boryspil will develop as hubs airport

The meeting discussed the prospects of regional airports with the goal of developing Ukrainian aviation.

July 3 at a meeting with Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman for the development of the air transportation market in Ukraine, it was decided that the Boryspil will develop as hubs, as this model has already proven its economic efficiency.

About this on his page in Facebook wrote to the Director General of the airport Borispol Paul Ryabikin.

According to him, this concept will be introduced in the development Strategy of the transport industry on aviation transport.

“The Prime Minister supported the initiative of the airport authority on the plans for infrastructure development, in particular, the expansion of the galleries of the existing terminal, expansion of the apron near the terminal D, the expansion of the transit area, upgrading the baggage system, the reconstruction of the second runway in the next five years and the launch of the Central filling station,” wrote Ryabikin.

Also at the meeting discussed the prospects of regional airports with the goal of developing Ukrainian aviation. In particular, the ability of regional airports to cater to airlines, developing low-cost model.

In addition there have been allocated a large block of questions related to the depreciation of the domestic air transport – the principles of taxation, the cheapening of the cost of aviation fuel and other.

According to Ryabikina, in the near future will be formed an interagency working group that will start to solve all the above questions. “We have big plans and a great desire to work”, – said the head of the airport.
