Intel and BMW demonstrated one of the first sedans of the BMW 7 Series with the advanced systems of self-government.

In the framework of the project on creation of robomobile BMW is responsible for driving dynamic characteristics and overall assessment of functional safety. In particular, the company’s specialists deal with issues of computer simulation, integration of components, production of prototypes and scaling of the platform taking into account the interests of other partners.
In turn, Intel is responsible for high-performance computing systems working in the car, and at the level of datacenters.
Finally, Mobileye provides its high-performance computer vision system having a low power consumption, and meet all functional safety requirements adopted by the automotive industry. The system is responsible for processing and integrating data received from cameras. The combination of processors and programmable controllers Intel solution forms a single computing platform that will be integrated into every self-driving car.
In total by the end of this year, Intel, BMW and Mobileye is scheduled to the road about 40 cars with the best funds of the government. In the coming years, the partners plan to introduce new models of hardware and software platform for Autonomous control.
