In 2020, the Germans will release electric five-door liftback.
BMW is planning to develop electric liftback that will be able to compete with the most available electrocare Tesla Model 3. This is with reference to its own source said the publication Autocar.
The novelty will be a “green” modification of future five-door GT version of the model 4-Series. It is expected that it will equip an electric plant with a capacity of about 350 HP and batteries with a capacity of 90 kWh, the stock of which is enough to travel without recharging up to 500 kilometers.
According to preliminary data, the German automaker will begin road tests of the new electric cars in the first half of next year.
BMW 4-Series GT with the traditional engines and hybrid powertrain will appear in 2019 and the electric version will debut a year later. It is assumed that the cost of the basic version of the electric car will be about 45 thousand euros.
