Large accumulations of seaweed this year become a problem for the city beaches of Yalta.

Possible reasons biologists believe the high temperature sea water and a General decrease in the population of mussels in the Black sea due to river flows and brood on the bottom of the predatory mollusc — brine.
“This summer a real problem for the city beaches of Yalta steel marine algae (damask) that after the storm in large numbers washed up on the shore. On most beaches of the Central tenants quickly got over my sea grass”, – stated in the message.
According to the press service, on the beach “the Waters” for a few days have removed nearly 200 tons of algae. The work attracted several dozen people. “Algae, as it should be collected and taken out to sea for a distance of 900 metres from the shores” – specify in the administration.

“There is the question of cleaning the beaches was most acute. The bandwidth of algae reaches 8-12 meters. Beaches tenants are not able to clean them yourself.
