Internet service providers will be fined for refusing to block Russian sites.
ISPs that do not restrict access to prohibited sites, the state will be fined 1% of their income for the entire previous calendar year.
If during the year the violation occurred again, the fine is increased to 5% of income.
This is stated in the bill number 6688 “countering threats to national security in the information sphere”, which is located on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada.
The document was prepared by the Deputy from BPP vinnika and people’s deputies from “popular front” Dmitry Tymchuk and Tatiana Chornovil. They are part of the parliamentary Committee on national security and defence.
The bill also requires providers to buy special equipment to block sites and control traffic.
