Black Friday: how not to fall for tricks fraudsters

A little over a week left until the most anticipated events in the world of shopping — the day trading of total sales, known as “black Friday.” This year it falls on November 24. Many Ukrainian shops have already promise crazy discounts on all sorts of products. Journalists know how to buy a thing cheap and do not regret.

The tradition of global sales Ukraine recently borrowed from the USA, where they are held on the first Friday after thanksgiving. There is one day, Americans on average lowered by 50-60 billion dollars, because sellers promise discounts up to 90%. On this day in American malls is the real madness: people will sweep away everything from the shelves and stand for hours in queues, and American cops are the statistics of injured in the battles for the purchase of the dreams.

In Ukraine the culture of Friday outlet just coming into fashion, because sales carried out mainly in large shopping malls and online shops. The sellers are: “black Friday” is an opportunity to attract new customers, to please loyal and at the same time get rid of waste products, which are now out of season. Moreover, in contrast to foreign retailers, the Ukrainian put discounts modest and not for all goods.

The most popular of the campaign: selling a limited number of discounted products, free shipping for your order, “1+1=3” (three items for the price of two), — says head of online market Bigl.ua Andrey Zdor. — But there are sellers who inflate the price in advance, then to make the space a “discount”. So for a week or two before the sale and record the cost of goods.”

Network discounts are much more ambitious: the sellers do not spend money for the maintenance of the store, because you can throw more without loss to themselves. But to do manicure at a discount, or dine in the restaurant are unlikely at half the price.

“Most are doing discounts on clothing and shoes. Summer dresses, sundresses you can really buy at 70% cheaper, and warm clothes from previous collections — by 25-40%. Real discounts on appliances, electronics and furniture do not exceed 15-20%”, — told “Today” head of marketplace Prom.ua Ivan Tailor.

As for trends, the top dresses, shirts, sweaters, smartphones, cell phones and children’s toys and backpacks.

“80% of all sales. From home appliances often and buy small kitchen blenders, crock pots and grinder. In addition, demand for men’s and women’s perfumes as well as detergents,” says the Tailor.

To grab buying dreams, experienced shapery suggest to order the product as early as possible, because of high demand it can quickly end.

“Pay attention to the size of the discount. It needs to be realistic: for example, the mobile phone 10 ths may not be worth even the “black Friday” 3000 UAH. Read reviews about the seller and product. Maybe a big discount is a way to sell the product with a defect. Don’t settle for an advance payment for the “reservation” item with huge discount. Try to place your order through the shopping cart and pay cash on delivery or cod”, says Andrey Zdor.

Hide expensive things

Regarding sales in shopping centers, there is also many pitfalls. First, clothing stores often use the tricks: for example, expensive things, just cover the period of discounts. The same applies to dimensions. In addition, American stores repeatedly accused of selling “derivatives” — they look like the original, but less quality and made by the same manufacturer, but specifically for sale in the “black Friday”. From the pros: don’t risk to fall for scams and you can try things on. However, I would crush and queues.
