So many people said, “This movie ruined my childhood”, or “I hate clowns”. I hope that after my execution of a modern 10-year-olds will also be scarred for life.
On the question of the role Pennywise in the new film bill said no less interesting:
Of course, it’s unusual – to say, “if I succeed in my role, I traumatize the child’s psyche”. On the set I was not friendly fun. I tried to make your character more “abnormal”, at least when he was already fully made-up. One day we were shooting the scene, and went to the site children, none of whom have not yet seen my way. Their parents brought them. And then I went in already Pennyways, and saw the reaction of the kids. Someone interested staring at me, someone couldn’t even look in my direction, and some were creepy. One of them even started to cry. And at that moment the Director shouted “Action”! After this command I head deep into the role.
