German biathlete Arnd Peiffer in a dramatic fight won his first personal win this season.
Peiffer was the most cold-blooded of the group of favorites. Before the last shooting to win in the race claimed just six people, but only the Germans managed to get a decisive shooting range without a single misfire.
On the last lap Peiffer failed to hold the lead over the Eder and Svendsen, but in the final shot has retained more strength and in a matter of seconds ahead of its competitors. Adair for the victory spurt in the last meters, Svendsen gave up early and for the gold fought.
Due to today’s success Peiffer moved from fourth place in the individual world Cup standings, behind Johannes boe by only 20 points.
