Norwegian biathlon with a huge advantage won the first season of the relay at the world Cup in Hochfilzen.
At the first stage, Brendan coped well with the difficult conditions at the shooting range – a Ukrainian used three spare rounds and passed the baton to Sergei Semenov a minute behind from sensationally leading Belgium.
Semenov shooting was less fortunate in Hochfilzen escalated the wind that led to a massive call on the penalty. Not escaped this fate and Sergey have failed to counter. Ukraine, with almost three-minute lag from Norway fell back to tenth place.
Vladimir Semakov in the third stage used only two extra rounds and lifted the team to eighth place behind the leader 3 minutes and 29 seconds. Before the final leg of the torch relay in Norway for almost a minute ahead of Germany, and the top 3 was closed by the French.
Dmitry Pidruchny coped with the final stage, the leader of the Ukrainian team broke through in the sixth place, leaving behind stellar Russian Anton Shipulin.
Despite the absence of the brothers Bø and Emil Svendsen, Norway almost two minutes ahead of the main national team of Germany. The top three winners of the relay was closed by the French, who played without Martin Fourcade.
