Sprint women started the final stage of the biathlon world Cup season 2016-2017.
Before the start of the race, it became clear that today will be a lot of surprises. Gusty wind for most of the women have turned the shooting into a lottery and only a few were able to adapt to difficult conditions.
First career win netted reactive Finca Mari Laukkanen, which will never be marked reliably on the shooting range. This season Laukkanen in sprints closed only 68.3% of the targets. However, today, Laukkanen, everything turned out perfect – with flawless shooting 29-year-old biathlete nearly eight seconds ahead of Frenchwoman Justine, brez, and the third was another biathlete from France Bescond anais.
The newly minted world Cup winner Laura dahlmeier with three penalties on the rack for the first time in the season finished outside the top 10 and ranked only 31st place. The best among Ukrainians was Julia Jim, which cling to the top 10 prevented the mistake last shot on the counter. From Kiev have occupied 13-e a place, and retained the ninth line in the standings of the world Cup.
