Because of U.S. sanctions, the Kremlin may lose lucrative defense contract with India, which includes the supply of anti-aircraft systems s-400 and frigates.

Publication The Economic Times, citing an informed source notes that US sanctions threaten the number of military contracts with India, with Russia, including a contract to supply frigates to the total sum of $5.5 billion Also jeopardized the supply of Russian air defense systems s-400.

The problem is that the Indian legislation provides for foreign suppliers of defense products guarantees from Indian banks. However, no financial organization of the country will not dare to deal with companies from the sanctions list of the USA.

This problem can be solved only through amendments in the Indian laws. In this case, Russian defense enterprises will be able to enlist the support of the Russian banks.
