Aerospace company is planning to send a habitation module in orbit, the satellite of the Earth already by 2022.
Private space company Bigelow Aerospace claims that preparations have begun for the launch of the residential module to orbit the moon. The company said in a joint press release from United Launch Alliance.
Companies are going to bring to lunar orbit module B330 by 2022. This is the inflatable compartment length of 13.7 meters and a diameter of 6.7 meters, which can live and work for up to six people.
Initially, the module will be delivered into orbit by a missile Vulcan 562, there is the compartment will be deployed and tested. Then module will send two more rockets with additional fuel reserves, which would be pumped into one of them to use for the transfer compartment to the moon.
“Our lunar module – a proof of serious plans to send humans to Mars. This will allow NASA and USA to see a financial sound project, completed in the shortest possible time,” said Robert Bigelow, President of Bigelow Aerospace.
